Thanks for the encouragement to get back to a regular time with God, same as regular time with other pursuits.Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06079854415508985725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3647398646594937688.post-54412918244404785232014-01-20T11:36:53.594-03:302014-01-20T11:36:53.594-03:30This message really hits home here. I did not realize just how much of every waking hour was spent in either thinking about quilting, planning something, drafting a pattern, trying to figure out a difficult block, reading blogs, watching on line tutorials as well as teaching a small group.

Instead, I got up early, because I was not up late, and worked my way through a devotional called "Finding Calcutta". I thought it was appropriate since I have been to India on 9 ministry trips. I focused on one short chapter each day and journalled through the discussion questions. It was an amazing time with God. Then, I preshrunk some new fabric and started a new quilt and here it is January already.

I found that if I opened my computer first, it was game over. So. maybe I need to impulsively start a new early morning devotional routine. I am now staying up late working on doctoral studies in Christian counseling because that is when get my best work gets done. And I need to get back to quilting being the reward not the main event.
ChrisChris https://www.blogger.com/profile/07754244941394074550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3647398646594937688.post-9552049048641999022014-01-20T11:34:36.958-03:302014-01-20T11:34:36.958-03:30This comment has been removed by the author.Chris https://www.blogger.com/profile/07754244941394074550noreply@blogger.com
