I'm working on quilting my Just the Basics quilt, aiming to be finished before the parade next month ;) So far I've quilted all of the blue boxes.
After the red stars are finished, I'm not sure what other designs I'll use. I'm kind of figuring this one out as I go along.
I do know I don't really want to use grey thread in these squares inside the stars, though. I want the quilting to show up a little more there, but I don't want it to be too much of a contrast. I'm thinking maybe one of these two threads.
I like the yellow thread, too, because it will also be a nice contrast to the red that will show on the back of the quilt in the surrounding piecing. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree - go for the yellow. There's some contrast, but not too much contrast :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to do!!! This is always the hardest part -- deciding on the quilting and thread colour. I vote for yellow as well.
ReplyDeleteI heard it is good to go a couple shades darker for the quilting to stand out more. I also like the yellow for some contrast without too much contrast. Your quilting looks beautiful as always.
