I have said more than once recently that it feels as if the world has slipped off its rocker. Then, because I wanted to be sure the saying meant what I thought it did, I looked it up. According to Urban Dictionary, "a 'rocker' is a device that controls the movement of a piece of machinery. When a machine if off its rocker, it no longer works correctly." Yep, that feels like the current state of the world, don't you think?
In the midst of all the news of lockdowns and cancellations, plus our own schools being closed indefinitely, one morning I read Psalm 93 and the second part of verse 1 stood out to me. Verse 1 says, "The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken."
The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
The world is actually not off its rocker and never can be, because the world's 'rocker' is God Himself. We are in His hands today just as much as we were months ago, before the first person was infected with coronavirus. I find it helpful to remind myself that God is not sitting in heaven, wringing His hands and wondering how the world is going to get through this crisis.

It does mean that God is with us through it all. He is in control, even when it doesn't feel like it. Our normal routines have been shaken, but the world cannot be shaken. We can rest in that.
Thank you for your comment. We all need to pray. God takes care of His children
